The UK Fireworks Consultation is open — and your voice matters.
The Government is currently asking for views on the future of fireworks legislation.
But I know that sometimes wanting to take action and actually having the time, energy or capacity to sit down and work out what on earth you’re supposed to write are two very different things.
So, I’ve tried to make it easier.
I’ve created a free resource on the Mutts & Mischief website explaining how you can have your say, along with a ready-to-use letter that you can simply copy and paste to your MP.
You don’t have to write a perfect letter.
You don’t have to spend hours researching what to say.
You don’t even have to personalise the template if you don’t have the capacity to do so.
If you want to add your own experiences, you absolutely can. But if all you can manage today is copy, paste, add your details and send — that still counts.
🐾 Companion animals.
🦮 Assistance and service dogs.
🐄 Livestock.
🦔 Wildlife.
🧠 People whose nervous systems and wellbeing are affected by unpredictable fireworks.
There are so many voices that deserve to be part of this conversation.
I’ve done my best to remove some of the barriers to taking part.
All you need to do is visit the website, copy the letter and have your say.

Please feel free to share this post so that anyone who wants to take action knows they don’t have to start from a blank page.
