🌿 Every voice matters. 🌿
I’ve just written to my local MP about the Nature’s Rights Bill.
Whether you support the Bill or simply care about protecting the natural world, it’s worth remembering that our MPs work for us. One thoughtful email from a constituent may not change everything overnight, but lots of individual voices together can help shape the conversations happening in Parliament.
Nature gives us so much—clean air, healthy ecosystems, wildlife, beautiful landscapes, and places that support our physical and mental wellbeing. Many of us want to see those things protected for future generations.
No matter your perspective, taking part in our democracy is important. Your voice deserves to be heard.
🌱 As dog guardians, we see firsthand how vital healthy green spaces are—not just for our own wellbeing, but for our dogs’ happiness, enrichment, and quality of life. Protecting nature means protecting the places where our dogs can explore, exercise, and simply be dogs.
If this is an issue you care about, why not take a few minutes to write to your own local MP and let them know your thoughts? I’ve included a simple template letter you can use or adapt to make it easier to get started. A respectful, personal email explaining why nature matters to you can have far more impact than you might think.

Subject; Please support the Nature’s Rights Bill
Dear [MP’s Name],
I am writing as one of your constituents to ask whether you will support the Nature’s Rights Bill currently before Parliament.
Like many people, I am deeply concerned about the continued decline of wildlife, habitats and biodiversity across the UK. While existing environmental protections are important, I believe we should also be exploring new ways of safeguarding the natural world for future generations.
I am particularly interested in the Nature’s Rights Bill because it seeks to recognise Nature as having legal rights and introduces a duty of care towards
Nature within decision-making. I believe this represents an important conversation about how we value and protect the environment.
As someone who spends much of my free time creating wildlife-friendly spaces and encouraging others to appreciate and care for nature, this issue is personally important to me. Healthy ecosystems benefit not only wildlife but also our communities, our health and future generations.
I would be grateful if you could let me know:
Whether you support the principles of the Nature’s Rights Bill.
Whether you would be willing to support its progress through Parliament.
How you believe the UK can strengthen protections for nature and biodiversity.
Thank you for taking the time to read my email. I look forward to hearing your views.
Kind regards,
[Your name]
[Your postcode]
